These Terms and Conditions govern your booking and stay at The Caramel Cove shortlet apartment located in Edgewater Estate, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria. By making a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings are confirmed only upon successful payment.
  • Prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless otherwise stated.
  • Cleaning is complimentary. A refundable caution/security deposit of ₦50,000 is added to all bookings.
  • The total amount is due at the time of booking.

2. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: from 2:00 PM
  • Check-out: by 12:00 PM (noon)
  • A valid government-issued ID is required at check-in.
  • The full address and access instructions are provided 48 hours before check-in via email.

3. Maximum Occupancy

The apartment accommodates a maximum of 2 guests. Additional guests or visitors are not permitted without prior approval.

4. Caution / Security Deposit

  • A ₦50,000 caution deposit is collected with every booking.
  • The deposit is refundable within 24 hours of checkout, subject to a satisfactory apartment inspection.
  • Deductions may be made for damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, or violation of house rules.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • 7+ days before check-in: Full refund (excluding caution deposit processing fees).
  • Less than 7 days before check-in: Non-refundable.
  • Peak season (Dec 10 – Jan 5): Cancellations must be made at least 14 days before check-in for a refund.
  • No-shows are non-refundable.

6. House Rules

  • No smoking inside the apartment.
  • No parties, events, or loud gatherings.
  • No pets.
  • Guests are responsible for keeping the apartment in reasonable condition during their stay.
  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM (estate regulation).
  • The private garden is for guest use only — please do not damage the AstroTurf or plantings.

7. Damage & Liability

Guests are liable for any damage caused during their stay. Costs exceeding the caution deposit will be invoiced to the guest. The Caramel Cove is not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.

8. Minimum Stay

  • Weekday stays: 1 night minimum.
  • Weekend stays (Fri/Sat check-in): 2 nights minimum.
  • Peak season (Dec 10 – Jan 5): 3 nights minimum.

9. Force Majeure

The Caramel Cove is not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest, government actions, or severe weather. In such cases, we will offer rebooking or credit at our discretion.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
